临津阁 Imjingak

 

作为冷战时代的分裂和后遗症的象征，临津阁被创造出来，以实现和平与统一的象征。临津阁公园有许多关于朝鲜战争的雕像和纪念碑。每个韩国感恩节和农历新年假期，朝鲜出生的韩国人聚集在临津阁公园，进行传统的祖先仪式。

 

The symbol of division as well as the afterimage of Cold War era, Imjingak was created to make the symbol of the peace and unification. The Imjingak park has many statues and monuments regarding the Korean War. Every Korean Thanksgiving Day and the Lunar New Year holiday, North Korean-born South Koreans gather at Imjingak park to perform traditional ancestral rites.

The Unification Bridge

 

The bridge is more like a symbolic bridge built back in 1998, wishing unification between two Koreas.  It was built by Hyundai Business Group of South Korea. Underneath the bridge you can see a river which is called Imjingang, coming down from North Korea. The bridge also has a nickname which is the “Cow Bridge”. The founder of Hyundai whose name was Jung Juyoung crossed this bridge and went to North Korea back in 1998 with precisely 1,001 cows. Since then, we have been calling it the cow bridge. Of course all the cows he took with him were part of humanitarian donations for North Korean people.

第三渗透隧道 The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel

DMZ最受欢迎的旅游景点之一是位于南部分界线以南约半公里处的第三条渗透隧道。根据来自朝鲜叛逃者的提示，发现了一条巨大的朝鲜挖掘隧道，该隧道被计划作为入侵南方的途径。距首尔仅52公里，其评价比其他隧道更具威胁性。

One of the most popular tourist sites in the DMZ is the the third infiltration tunnel located about half a kilometer south of the Southern Demarcation Line. A massive North Korean-dug tunnel which was planned as a pathway for invasion to the South was discovered based on a tip from a North Korean defector. Located only 52 kilometers from Seoul, it is evaluated more threatening than other tunnels.

都罗展望台 Dora Observatory

You can catch a rare glimpse of the reclusive North Korean state through binoculars from the 304 square feet, 500-person capacity observatory. You will be able to see the North Korean propaganda village situated in the DMZ, a remnant of the old prosperity of the North, and can see as far as the city of Kaesong.

都罗山站 Dorasan Station

在韩国最北部火车站，都罗山站主要象征着最终朝鲜统一的希望。乔治·沃克·布什和韩国领导人金大戎在铁路领带上签名以来，它一直受到全球关注。这是一个美丽的现代化车站，以统一为主题的照片和艺术作品。都罗山站

的设计是将来有一天连接南北铁路的车站。可惜的是，此连接不在常规上服务。

The northern most train station in South Korea, Dorasan Station is largely symbolic of the hope for eventual Korean reunification. It has received the global attention since George W. Bush and South Korean leader Kim Daejung signed their names on the railroad tie. This connection is not in regular service. It’s a beautiful, modern station with unification-themed photos and works of art. The Dorasan Station is designed to be the station that connects the railroads of the South and North one day in the future.
